Uniform
At St Anne's, we wear our uniform with great pride and believe that it both helps foster a good learning environment and creates a sense of belonging. Furthermore, to mark them out as leaders of the school, Year 6 pupils are presented with their Golden Ties at the end of Term 1.
In line with government guidance, we ensure that the cost of school uniform is kept down by removing the need for children to wear any branded items. As a result, all of our uniform (with the exception of the Reception/KS1 book bag) can be purchased from high street supermarkets/stores. Those branded items that are offered can be purchased online from Brigade which is competitively priced. We also have a large bank of second hand uniform and hold sales monthly throughout the year.
Any changes to our uniform policy will be introduced only following consultation with all stakeholders and will be phased in over at least one year.
We are a highly inclusive school and, as such, governors are open to considering reasonable requests for flexibility in the uniform policy for an individual pupil in order to accommodate their religion or belief, ethnicity, disability, or other special circumstances. Uniform is also gender neutral; children can choose from the items listed below.
Summer or winter uniform may be worn up to October half term.
